The Northants County (not so) Closed 2025

Our County Championships are being held at Daventry Squash Club on Friday 14th and Sunday 16th March; and at Lings Forum Leisure Centre on Saturday 15th if necessary.

Early rounds on the evening of 14th March; some on the morning of Saturday 15th; majority of matches all day Sunday 16th.

THE COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE FOR EVERYONE: MEN, WOMEN, JUNIORS... REGARDLESS OF YOUR STANDARD

It doesn't matter what level you play at, or whether you are new to the sport: this tournament is designed to give everyone as good an experience as possible irrespective of your standard.

It's a lot of fun, with plenty of encouragement from everyone around you.

Choose your grade(s): your entry fee covers multiple grades should you wish to play in more than one - just add the additional grade in the notes when you enter. 

Be advised that should you enter more than one grade you are likely to be playing up to eight

matches over the course of the weekend... it's not for the faint-hearted.

The mixed B, C, D, and Ladies B Grades are open for entries from any county, not just Northants. The mixed A, Ladies A, and age group grades are only open to players affiliated to the NSRA.

Wherever possible, the grades will be run in Monrad or round-robin format, rather than championship/plate.

We will have trophies and prizes for the winners and runners-up in each grade; and a prize for the two participants of the closest match.

A Grade: open to juniors, men, and women (Northants-affiliated players only)
B Grade: open to juniors, men, and women, with Squash Levels no higher than ~2500 (open to all counties)
C Grade: open to juniors, men, and women, with Squash Levels no higher than ~1500 (open to all counties)
D Grade: open to juniors, men, and women, with Squash Levels no higher than ~750 (open to all counties)

Ladies A Grade: open to women and junior girls (Northants-affiliated players only)
Ladies B Grade: open to women and junior girls, with Squash Levels no higher than ~750 (open to all counties)

Over 40: open to men and women over the age of 40 (Northants-affiliated players only)

Over 50: open to men and women over the age of 50 (Northants-affiliated players only)

Over 60: open to men and women over the age of 60 (Northants-affiliated players only)
