Hazelwood Xmas Squash Open 2024 : Graded tournament during the day, followed by handicap late afternoon + evening, probably around 5pm

The Graded tournament shall take place first, likely starting at 10am. Results of the graded tournament will go into squashlevels.

There will also be a handicap tournament which will happen at the end of the day after the graded has finished. Results of the handicap will not go into squashlevels for obvious reasons.

Both the graded draws and the handicap draws will be monrad style, meaning that all players should get to play at least 3 matches.

Trophies will be awarded to finalists of each category and for those categories where there are sufficient numbers there will also be a plate competition.

Please order t-shirts by Wednesday 11th December at the latest in order for them to arrive on time for the tournament.

NB: If there are more entries than places, then players will be placed on a waitlist and if no place becomes available by the start of the tournament, refunded.

A Grade: Squashlevels 3000+ [Plays for the 1st team for their club, perhaps represents their county in inter-counties tournaments or even plays professionally] 

B Grade: Squashlevels 2000-3000 [Top club player, plays in one of the top divisions in their box league, represents their club in team matches] 

C Grade: Squashlevels 1000-2000 [Good club player, plays internal leagues and some team matches] 

D Grade: Squashlevels 0-1000 [Club player been playing 1 or more years in internal leagues/boxes] 

Handicap: Suitable for beginner players upwards (any squashlevel) with the emphasis on fun. Handicaps will be set as accurately as possible where there is sufficient data and may adapt during the tournament.
