What is this event?
The Daventry Women’s Open 2026 is Daventry Squash Club’s first women’s-only squash open. The competition is available to players of all abilities and ages. There are 5 grades, with a maximum of 16 entrants per grade. Please enter the grade that best fits your SquashLevels. If a grade becomes oversubscribed, we may need to shift players to a different grade – this will be decided via SquashLevels and communicated to you prior to the competition. The grades are:
Grade A: >2,000 SquashLevels
Grade B: 1,000 – 1,999 SquashLevels
Grade C: 400 – 999 SquashLevels
Grade D: 100 – 399 SquashLevels
- Grade E: 0 - 99 SquashLevels
When is it?
The competition will be held entirely on Saturday 26th September 2026. It is expected to start around 09:00 and expected to finish around 18:00, with presentations to follow afterwards. The schedule of the competition will be confirmed the weekend prior to the tournament once entries are closed on Friday 18th September.
What is the format?
The competition will be graded. The grades will be finalised based on the number of entrants and the SquashLevels of entrants. The format will be MONRAD. This is a multi-match, non-eliminating draw where all players continue to play throughout the tournament to achieve a final finishing position. Unlike a standard knockout, losers of each round are matched against each other, ensuring all players receive a set number of matches and an end ranking based on their overall performance. Depending on numbers, we anticipate that each player will have 3-4 matches throughout the day.
The matches will be to 11 for each game, best of 3 games (PAR 11, 2 clear at 10-10). This is subject to change depending on the number of entrants. The winner from each match is then expected to officiate the following match on whatever court they have just played on. Results will be logged on SportManager and recorded on SquashLevels. There will be prizes/awards to the winners and runners up of each grade.
How do I enter?
Please use the link on SportManager to enter. It costs £17.50 to enter. This includes provision of food for lunch. The bar will also be open throughout the day.
What are the prizes?
