Daventry Squash Closed Graded Tournament
Saturday 13th June 2026
Free to enter for double dot members!
£10 to enter for single dot members!
What is this?
The Closed Graded Competition is for Daventry Squash Members. All ability levels are invited to enter. Please enter individually, and you will be grouped into grades according to your squash level. Depending on who enters, the grades will look something like below:
A Grade: Players with a squash level higher than 2,500
B Grade: Players with a squash level between 1,500 and 2,500
C Grade: Players with a squash level between 900 and 1,500
D grade: Players with a squash level between 0 and 900
You’ll compete against players of the same grade. This competition will be a MONRAD format. This is a multi-match, non-eliminating draw where all players continue to play throughout the tournament to achieve a final finishing position. Unlike a standard knockout, losers of each round are matched against each other, ensuring all players receive a set number of matches and an end ranking based on their overall performance. The matches will be to 11 for each game, best of 3 games (subject to possibly increase depending on number of entrees). The winner from each match is then expected to referee the following match on whatever court they have just played on. Results recorded on Squash Levels. Bar open throughout the day.
When is this?
Saturday 30th May. Expected start time around 10:00, running for most of the day. The full schedule will be sent out a few days prior to the event once we have confirmed the number of entries. Closing date for entry is Tuesday 9th June.
